miniature lounge bar in a vintage radio
I made a few of these miniature bars inside emptied out TVs and radio. I like how creative you can be with this type of decor, especially at this small scale. The shell is a starting point for my design and I use all sorts of found materials to get further inspiration.
I did this one little by little, over a period of four or five years.To assemble the space I used material from packages, architectural samples, fabric remnants, and various papers and boards. I also installed lighting, which plugs into the wall. This one has three mini light bulbs that can be changed when they'll go out. To complete the project I place characters in it, it's only then that the space comes alive. It's important to me that they fit in the decor so I typically choose something that complements it well. I plan to dream up a story and animate these guys, it should be really fun. Stay tuned...
