When I moved in my little bungalow three years ago it was much less colorful than it is now. I don't know how the previous tenants did live in there with so much bulky furniture and dirty mini-blinds on the windows, but as long as there was wood floors and nice moulding throughout I was pretty sure I could do something with the place.
I don't always look through deals daily candy sends me but I'm glad I did for these tile tattoos from Mibo. They were on sale at 2jane.com. I had seen them before it seems, but this time they caught my eye. It's super easy to install, and I love the results! You would think these have been painted on. All I needed for this border is 3 sets of 6 tattoos, not bad for a such a transformation!

I made a few of these miniature bars inside emptied out TVs and radio. I like how creative you can be with this type of decor, especially at this small scale. The shell is a starting point for my design and I use all sorts of found materials to get further inspiration.
When the first TV I ever owned gave its last breath I could not bring myself to just throw it out. How could I put such a big piece of trash on the street, how long would it sit in the landfill? So I decided to give it a second life. I had seen an installation in the window of a café that had TVs turned into aquariums, which I thought was a pretty cool idea. But I didn’t really want to deal with the water, so I had to think of something else.
